The story behind the bottle.
Peau de Bete by Les Liquides Imaginaires was launched in 2016, crafted by Carine Certain Boin, and is a bold Oriental Woody fragrance for both women and men. The composition opens with a fresh spicy aromatic blend of cumin, parsley, chamomile, saffron, black pepper, styrax, and cypriol oil, which creates an unexpected tension against the warm, smoky, and animalic base notes of amyris, juniper, grass, ambrarome, guaiac wood, patchouli, atlas cedar, texas cedar, civet, and castoreum. This complex interplay between freshness and depth makes Peau de Bete a captivating and enigmatic scent.
This fragrance is best applied in two or three well-placed sprays to allow its complex layers to unfold. The aromatic top notes are fleeting but impactful, so it's essential to let the rich base notes take center stage as they develop over time.
