Roja Dove launched Pierre de Velay No. 47 in 2017, a composition that weaves together an intricate blend of woody and musky accords with warm spiciness and subtle animalics. The fragrance opens with bright citrus notes like bergamot and lemon, but quickly transitions into a more complex heart with clary sage, ylang-ylang, and violet. The base is rich and enveloping, featuring castoreum, civet, tolu balsam, oakmoss, and guaiac wood, creating an olfactory experience that feels both familiar and mysterious.
This fragrance blooms slowly, so apply it generously to let its rich base notes emerge fully. It pairs well in cooler settings but can be worn year-round for an intimate, enveloping warmth.
