The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2007 and crafted by Ernest Beaux, Les Exclusifs de Chanel Cuir de Russie is a richly layered Oriental Floral fragrance that embodies the brand’s legacy of elegance and sophistication. The composition opens with bright citrus notes — bergamot and mandarin orange — which quickly give way to a heart of white florals like ylang-ylang and jasmine, balanced by yellow florals such as rose and African orange flower. At its core lies an animalic and smoky blend of leather, birch, tobacco, and musk that adds depth and warmth, creating a complex blend of contrasts.
Apply one or two sprays to pulse points for a subtle yet lasting presence. The smoky base notes take time to bloom fully, so give it at least an hour before reassessing its projection.
