Launched in 1988 by Loewe and crafted by perfumer Olivier Cresp, Esencia pour Homme is a complex aromatic fougère that balances freshness with earthy warmth. The composition opens with green notes and lavender, creating an invigorating contrast to the woody base of cedar, vetiver, and sandalwood. This fragrance is neither overly sweet nor overpowering; instead, it offers a subtle interplay between the crispness of bergamot and lemon and the earthy richness of oakmoss and leather.
Apply two sprays to ensure the initial freshness lingers through the day without overpowering. The green and citrus top notes are bright but fade within an hour, allowing the woody base to take center stage. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet lasting presence.
