The story behind the bottle.
Chocolate Fondant by M. Micallef is a composition that envelops you in the rich warmth of chocolate and vanilla, with an unexpected twist of fruity freshness. Perfumer Mark Buxton created this Oriental Vanilla fragrance for both men and women, launched in 2022. The opening notes of cacao and pineapple are complemented by peach and coffee, creating a delightful contrast that adds depth and complexity. As the composition evolves, floral accords like tuberose and magnolia emerge, adding an unexpected layer of sophistication to the sweetness. Leather and tonka bean anchor the base with a warm spiciness that lingers long after the initial notes have faded.
This fragrance blooms best with a moderate application. One or two sprays on pulse points allow the sweet top notes to blend seamlessly into the deeper, spicier base. It's perfect for cooler evenings when you want a scent that feels both cozy and indulgent.

Mark Buxton
The blind-test prodigyMark Buxton, born in England and raised near Hamburg, entered perfumery almost by accident: at 21, a German game show challenge to identify 600 perfumes by scent alone caught the attention of Haarmann & Reimer, who offered him a place in their Paris training program.
