Launched in 2021 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait Limited Edition is a fragrance that embodies the brand's commitment to elegance and sophistication. Created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, this composition opens with saffron and bitter almond, creating an unexpected tension between warmth and bitterness. The heart of Egyptian jasmine adds a lush floral touch, while the base notes of ambergris, cashmeran, ambroxan, and musk create a warm, enveloping effect that reads as both luxurious and intimate.
One or two sprays are enough to capture the essence of this rich composition. The saffron and bitter almond notes are bright but fleeting, so it’s best applied just before an evening out when you want a scent that evolves over time.
