Luca Maffei crafted L'Attesa by Masque Milano in 2016, offering a composition that balances the crispness of bergamot and champagne with the earthy warmth of leather and oakmoss. The heart notes of iris and orris root add an unexpected depth, while tuberose and ylang-ylang introduce subtle floral undertones. This fragrance is neither overtly sweet nor heavy, maintaining a delicate tension between freshness and earthiness.
A single spray is enough to capture L'Attesa's nuanced character. The citrus top notes are fleeting, but they set the stage for the rich base notes that emerge after about an hour. This fragrance reads better close to skin than from a distance, so aim for pulse points rather than spraying liberally.
