Launched in 2020 by Mugler, Alien Mirage is crafted by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal. It opens with mineral notes and pink pepper, creating a sharp contrast that immediately captures attention. The heart of lotus and syringa adds a soft floral touch, while hinoki wood and white amber provide warmth and depth in the base. Alien Mirage is neither purely sweet nor overly aromatic; instead, it balances these elements to create an intriguing blend.
Alien Mirage develops on skin over time, so apply it in light layers to allow each note to reveal itself gradually. The mineral and pink pepper top notes are strong initially but give way to a more nuanced scent as the day progresses.
