Carlisle by Parfums de Marly was launched in 2015 as a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. The composition opens with green apple and saffron, creating an unexpected freshness that cuts through the richness of tonka bean and vanilla. This contrast makes Carlisle both intriguing and warm, balancing sweet and spicy notes like nutmeg and opoponax against woody and balsamic undertones.
Carlisle's popularity has led to it being one of the most heavily 'duped' fragrances in the niche-adjacent designer space. With its high price point, dedicated clone houses have produced widely discussed 1:1 alternatives due to limited regional retail availability, making it accessible to a broader audience.
Apply a light spritz to pulse points; Carlisle's rich base notes take time to develop on skin. The sweetness of the vanilla is balanced by the green apple top note, which fades within an hour but allows the spicy heart to shine through.
