Olympea by Rabanne, launched in 2015 and created by perfumers Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Loc Dong, is a fragrance that seamlessly blends salty jasmine with vanilla, creating an accord that has become emblematic of the 'salty vanilla' trend in modern women's designer perfumery. This distinctive blend opens with green mandarin and ginger flower, adding a fresh, lively touch before settling into a warm base of cashmere wood, ambergris, and sandalwood. The result is a composition that feels both familiar and innovative.
Apply Olympea lightly for a more nuanced experience. The salty jasmine accord is most noticeable in the first hour, so it’s best suited for daytime wear when you want to embrace its fresh warmth. As the base notes emerge, the fragrance becomes more powdery and comforting.
