The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1969 by Rabanne, Calandre is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance that heralds the era of modernity and elegance. Michel Hy crafted this composition with aldehydes at its core, creating an intriguing contrast between fresh green notes and rich florals like rose and lily-of-the-valley. The blend is further deepened by earthy accords such as oakmoss and vetiver, grounding the scent in a sophisticated yet airy texture.
Calandre has a strong opening with its aldehydic top notes, so a light application is recommended. The fragrance develops over time, allowing the floral and woody base to emerge after about an hour. Best for cooler weather when you want a scent that evolves naturally throughout the day.
