The story behind the bottle.
Polo Double Black by Ralph Lauren was launched in 2006 and is a Woody Spicy fragrance crafted by Ellen Molner. This composition opens with the bright freshness of mango and pepper, creating an initial burst of energy that contrasts beautifully with the warmth of roasted coffee beans and Indonesian nutmeg. The heart notes of cardamom and juniper berries add depth and complexity, while woody undertones provide a grounding base. Polo Double Black is neither overly sweet nor too spicy; instead, it strikes a harmonious balance between freshness and warmth.
Apply Polo Double Black with one to two sprays. The mango and pepper notes are bright but fade within an hour, so it's best to rely on the warm woody base that develops over time. This fragrance reads better in cooler weather when its warmth feels more welcoming.
