Mon Bois by Ramon Monegal was launched in 2010, and it's immediately clear that this fragrance is built around the tension between warmth and freshness. The scent opens with a bright spiciness from cinnamon and metallic notes, which contrast beautifully against an earthy base of oud and woody accords. This juxtaposition creates an intriguing interplay — one moment you're enveloped in the smoky richness of oud, and the next, you're greeted by the sharp, invigorating kick of fresh spices.
Mon Bois has a strong presence that projects well from the skin. One or two sprays can carry you through the day without needing to reapply. The spicy top notes are vivid but fade within an hour, leaving the rich woody and smoky base to linger throughout the evening.
