The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Roja Dove, Fortnum & Mason The Perfume is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that blends a rich array of notes into a warm and complex composition. Lemon and bergamot provide a bright opening before giving way to the soft floral heart of may rose, jasmine, and geranium. This delicate balance then transitions seamlessly into a base of labdanum, castoreum, and musk, creating an enveloping smoky-amber warmth that feels both intimate and luxurious.
Apply this fragrance in small amounts — its richness can be overpowering if used too generously. The smoky and woody base notes take time to bloom, so allow it a few minutes before reapplying if needed. It pairs well with cooler weather but is versatile enough for any season.

The Professeur de ParfumRoja Dove, born Roger Bird in 1956 in Sussex, was captivated by scent from childhood, later abandoning a medicine degree at Cambridge after a visit to the Guerlain boutique in Paris changed the course of his life.
