Launched in 2012 by Santa Maria Novella, Porcellana was crafted by perfumer Eugenio Alphandery as an aromatic fragrance that blends white florals with a powdery and spicy warmth. The composition opens with a green freshness that gives way to the delicate notes of iris and anis, creating a subtle tension between crispness and sweetness. A soft spicy accord adds depth without overpowering the overall balance, while the powdery base ensures a gentle, comforting finish.
Porcellana's powdery base notes take time to bloom, so give it at least two hours before reapplying. It’s best worn close to the skin for an intimate, personal experience rather than one that fills the room.

Eugenio Alphandery, a mechanical engineer originally brought in to repair old machinery, bought the Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella in 1989 when it had only three employees, and revived it as a global brand while modernizing its production.
