Launched in 2024, Quercia by Santa Maria Novella is a Woody Aromatic fragrance crafted by perfumer Eugenio Alphandery. This scent captures the serene refuge created by sunlight filtering through centuries-old oaks, specifically paying homage to the imposing oak tree at the Medicean Villa di Castello. The composition opens with lavender and transitions into rich notes of vetiver and patchouli before settling on a base of oak that evokes strength and longevity. Quercia is an intense and long-lasting olfactory experience that feels warm and enveloping, contributing to a sense of elegance and self-confidence.
Apply two sprays to capture the full depth of Quercia. The base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so give it time to develop before heading out. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room.

Eugenio Alphandery
Eugenio Alphandery, a mechanical engineer originally brought in to repair old machinery, bought the Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella in 1989 when it had only three employees, and revived it as a global brand while modernizing its production.
