Launched in 2015 by Serge Lutens, La Religieuse is an Oriental Floral fragrance created by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake. This composition tells a story of contrasts and deep philosophical themes, with jasmine as the pure, white floral note representing light and civet, musk, and incense embodying the dark, mysterious side. The scent's square-shaped glass flacon holds a fluid colored in dark purple, evoking the fragrance’s complex duality.
Apply La Religieuse with two sprays to let the powdery warmth take center stage. It blooms after about an hour, so it's best for daytime wear where its complexity can be fully appreciated.
