Launched in 2005 by Serge Lutens, Miel De Bois is an Oriental Woody fragrance created by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake. The composition begins with a dry wood base — Guaiac and oak — that feels like the warmth of a seasoned log breaking under your hands. This woody foundation supports a rich honey note, which adds a sweet, powdery depth. Over time, the scent evolves into a musky, floral bouquet centered around iris, creating an intricate blend of warmth and sophistication.
Apply Miel De Bois in light layers as it blooms slowly on the skin. The honey note can be quite pronounced initially but will settle into a more balanced profile over time. This fragrance is best worn during cooler months when its warmth complements the chill in the air.
