Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Tubereuse Criminelle, launched by Serge Lutens in 1999 and crafted by Christopher Sheldrake, is an unsettlingly beautiful blend of tuberose and other white florals. The fragrance opens with a bright green freshness that quickly gives way to the intense, almost narcotic presence of tuberose. This floral heart is balanced by warm spices and amber, while subtle animalic notes add a hint of danger, as if this bouquet were plucked from the dark underbrush rather than a sunlit garden.
Apply Tubereuse Criminelle with intention — it develops quickly on skin but maintains its complexity for hours. The animalic notes emerge after about half an hour, so give it time to unfold fully before stepping out.
