Émilie Coppermann crafted Dance of the Dawn in 2022 for The Different Company, a brand known for its sophisticated and nuanced compositions. This fragrance opens with a vibrant interplay of pink pepper and black pepper, which gives way to mandarin orange's brightness before settling into an earthy base of patchouli, driftwood, and incense. The warm spiciness of the composition is balanced by soft notes of iris and vanilla, creating a complex yet harmonious scent that feels both fresh and cozy.
One or two sprays are sufficient — the spicy top notes are intense but short-lived. The base notes take about an hour to bloom fully, so apply in advance for optimal effect. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, making it perfect for intimate settings.
