Cherry Smoke by Tom Ford, launched in 2022 and crafted by Louise Turner, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that blends the unexpected harmony of sour cherry with smoky, woody notes. The opening burst of sour cherry and saffron gives way to a heart of leather and olive, while the base of Chinese osmanthus, apricot, smoke, and cypriol oil or nagarmotha creates an intriguing contrast between sweetness and depth. This composition is neither traditionally sweet nor purely smoky but rather exists in the space where fruitiness meets earthy richness.
Cherry Smoke projects best when applied to pulse points. The sour cherry top notes are fleeting, so wait for the smoky and woody heart to settle in before venturing out. This fragrance works well during cooler evenings but can also add warmth to a brisk day.
