The story behind the bottle.
Jasmine tea is doing the real work here - it brings a dry, faintly bitter, tannic quality that keeps this from reading as another straightforward citrus floral. Yuzu and lemon open things brightly, water lily and orange blossom add lift, but it's that tea accord sitting underneath that gives the composition its slightly restrained, steeped-rather-than-squeezed character. Vanilla and sandalwood in the base warm things gradually, though patchouli keeps the sweetness from becoming a dessert. Nathalie Lorson's drop-by-drop concept shows in how gradually each layer arrives - nothing here rushes.
Because the top notes are citrus-forward and fade quickly, this fragrance is best refreshed midday if you want the bright opening back rather than settling for the warmer vanilla-sandalwood base alone. It sits close to the skin, so it's suited to situations where you'd rather be noticed up close than across a room.
