Opium Pour Homme Eau d'Orient by Yves Saint Laurent was launched in 2006 as a fresh interpretation of the iconic Opium line. The composition opens with a vibrant blend of star anise, grapefruit, and bergamot that creates a crisp, aromatic freshness. This gives way to a heart of ginger and white pepper, adding a spicy warmth that transitions seamlessly into a base of sandalwood, bamboo, vetiver, and amber. The result is a fragrance that balances the bright energy of citrus with the deep, earthy notes of woods and spices.
Apply this fragrance in light layers; its top notes are bright and will project well initially. The spicy heart and woody base develop gradually over time, so it's best to let each layer build up naturally throughout the day.
