The story behind the bottle.
Parisienne by Yves Saint Laurent, launched in 2009, was created by perfumers Sophia Grojsman and Sophie Labbé. It features a distinctive 'dirty' rose accord that has been both praised and criticized for its urban twist on traditional florals, enhanced with synthetic-violet notes reminiscent of vinyl. This fragrance is part of the brand's legacy of redefining elegance, offering an edgy take on classic scents. Parisienne was fronted by Kate Moss in its ad campaign but faced reduced visibility over time as it was seen as more subtle compared to bolder releases like Black Opium and Libre.
Two sprays are enough; the vinyl and rose notes emerge quickly but dissipate within two hours. The powdery musk and woody base notes continue to linger throughout the day, making it perfect for a daytime wear.
