Custom by Alfred Dunhill, launched in 2011 and crafted by perfumer Ursula Wandel, is a Woody Spicy fragrance designed to reflect the brand's masculine elegance and tradition. The composition opens with a refreshing burst of red apple before transitioning into an invigorating core of black pepper. This spicy heart creates a dynamic tension, leading into a warm base of incense and Virginia cedar that offers both depth and personability.
Custom EDT is best applied in moderation. The bright top note of red apple fades quickly, so one to two sprays are sufficient to allow the spicy and woody base notes to unfold gradually throughout the day. This fragrance reads better close to skin rather than across a room.

From photography to Hugo WomanUrsula Wandel discovered perfumery through curiosity and a background in chemistry, initially drawn to photography before enrolling at the Givaudan perfumery school in Geneva, where she spent her first year learning around 3,000 raw materials and her second imitating well-known perfumes like a painter studying the old masters.
