The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2010 by Amouage and crafted by Daniel Maurel, The Library Collection Opus I is a sophisticated unisex fragrance that blends the warmth of spices with the depth of woody notes. The opening hints at cardamom and bitter orange, creating an aromatic freshness that quickly gives way to the rich complexity of tuberose and ylang-ylang. At its heart, the scent oscillates between floral sweetness and the smoky undertones of incense, while the base notes of sandalwood and guaiac wood provide a grounding warmth.
Apply this fragrance lightly to allow its layers to unfold gradually. The aromatic top notes are fleeting, so a second application after an hour can help maintain the complexity throughout the day.
