The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 2014 by Byredo, Mojave Ghost is a fragrance that embodies the minimalist elegance for which the brand is known. It opens with sapodilla and ambrette, creating an intriguing contrast between sweet fruitiness and musky depth. The heart of magnolia and violet adds a delicate floral touch, while sandalwood, ambergris, cedar, and musk provide a grounding, woody base that reads as both warm and powdery.

Mojave Ghost has become one of Byredo's most recognizable bestsellers, favored by celebrities like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kate Bosworth. Its understated character makes it a status symbol in niche fragrance circles, appreciated for its quiet confidence rather than loud projection.

How to wear it

One or two sprays are enough — the fragrance builds gradually on skin. The powdery base notes take about an hour to fully settle, so give it time before reapplying. It pairs well with a cozy sweater in cooler weather.
