The story behind the bottle.
Secret Obsession by Calvin Klein was launched in 2008 and crafted by perfumers Ann Gottlieb, Calice Becker, and Givaudan. This Oriental Floral fragrance opens with a fresh spicy blend of nutmeg and mace that cuts through the sweetness of plum and rose, creating a tension that feels modern and sophisticated. The heart notes of tuberose, jasmine, orchid, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom add depth and warmth, while the base of sandalwood, amber, cashmere wood, vanilla, cedar, wormwood, and orris grounds the composition with a powdery, sensual finish.
Two sprays is sufficient to capture the essence of this fragrance. The top notes are bright but fade within an hour, giving way to the heart and base that bloom gradually over time. Best suited for daytime wear, where its moderate longevity and sillage ensure it stays close to skin without overpowering.
