Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Chanel and crafted by Jacques Polge, Bois des Iles Eau de Parfum is an Oriental Woody fragrance that embodies the elegance and sophistication for which Chanel is renowned. The composition opens with a bright citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin orange, providing a fresh and invigorating start. This gives way to the warmth of ylang-ylang and woody notes, creating a harmonious balance between lightness and depth. Sandalwood and resins add an earthy richness, while vanilla and tonka bean bring a touch of sweetness and comfort.
This fragrance has moderate longevity and sillage, so aim for two sprays to allow the citrus notes to give way to the deeper woody and amber tones. It's best suited for daytime wear when you want a scent that is both fresh and warm without overpowering others.
