The story behind the bottle.
Created by Patricia Choux for Clive Christian, X For Women is a chypre fruity fragrance that marries the freshness of fruits with the warmth of powdery and woody notes. The composition opens with bright and juicy top notes of peach, pineapple, and mandarin orange, which create an immediate sense of vibrancy. As these give way to the heart notes of jasmine, orris root, and lily-of-the-valley, a soft floral sweetness emerges, balanced by the green ivy that adds a touch of freshness. The base notes of patchouli, musk, vanilla, and vetiver bring depth and warmth, grounding the fragrance in a rich, sensual embrace.
X For Women's top notes are bright but fleeting, so a heavier application in the beginning will ensure that the rich base notes have time to develop. Given its depth and warmth, it pairs best with cooler weather when the musk and vanilla can truly shine.
