The story behind the bottle.
Eau de Protection, launched in 2007 by Etat Libre d'Orange and crafted by perfumers Antoine Lie and Antoine Maisondieu, is a daring composition that challenges traditional boundaries. The fragrance opens with a fresh spicy blend of ginger and black pepper, creating an immediate sense of alertness. This is followed by the delicate Turkish rose and jasmine, which add a touch of floral elegance without overpowering the spiciness. As it settles, patchouli and tonka bean introduce warmth and depth, grounding the composition in earthy tones.
Apply Eau de Protection with two light sprays — the spicy top notes are bright but fleeting. The floral and woody base develops gradually over time, so it’s best experienced close to skin rather than from a distance. Ideal for cooler evenings when you want a fragrance that evolves subtly throughout the night.
