The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 2000 by Frederic Malle, Iris Poudre was created by Pierre Bourdon to capture the essence of powdery sophistication. The composition opens with a bright citrus-aromatic blend that gives way to a heart of floral notes, including ylang-ylang and jasmine, which are then enveloped in a rich base of iris, sandalwood, and musk. This fragrance is neither loud nor overwhelming; instead, it offers a subtle elegance that feels lasting.

How to wear it

Apply Iris Poudre lightly — the base notes take about an hour to fully bloom. It's best for daytime wear, as the warm musk and iris provide a comforting presence without overpowering.
