The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Frederic Malle and crafted by Pierre Bourdon, Iris Poudree Limited Edition 2018 is a floral aldehyde fragrance that captures the essence of refined elegance. The composition opens with bright citrus notes from bergamot and orange, which give way to a heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine, and violet, creating an atmosphere of delicate florality. At its core, iris and sandalwood blend with powdery aldehydes and musk, resulting in a warm and enveloping scent that feels both modern and lasting.
Apply a few sprays to pulse points — the aldehydic top notes are bright but fade quickly, while the heart and base notes develop slowly. The fragrance is best worn close to skin for an intimate experience rather than filling a room.
