The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2004 by Givenchy, Insence Ultramarine Hawaii is a fragrance that captures the essence of a sun-drenched island escape. Perfumer Christophe Raynaud crafted this aromatic fougère with a bright citrus-aromatic opening, where grapefruit and mandarin orange mingle with lavender to create an invigorating start. As it settles, sea water notes enhance its marine character, giving way to a heart of floral nuances that add a soft touch. The base is anchored by woody notes, sandalwood, and amber, providing warmth and depth.
Apply one or two sprays for a long-lasting effect — the marine top notes are vibrant but fade within an hour. The woody and amber base notes then take over, providing warmth and depth throughout the day. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear when its fresh and invigorating character can shine.
