The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1996 by Guerlain and crafted by Jacques Guerlain and Jean-Paul Guerlain, Champs Elysees Extract is a floral fruity fragrance that captures the essence of Parisian elegance. The composition opens with bright, fresh fruits like melon and peach, which mingle with almond and anise to create a vibrant yet subtle opening. As it evolves, notes of violet, lilac, mimosa, and lily-of-the-valley add depth and complexity, while yellow florals like peony and hibiscus bring warmth and sweetness. The base notes of benzoin, cedar, sandalwood, and vanilla provide a rich, enveloping finish that feels both luxurious and intimate.
Apply this fragrance in light layers to allow its nuanced notes to unfold gradually. The fruity top notes are bright but fleeting, while the floral heart and woody base provide lasting warmth that enhances closer interactions.
