Launched in 2024, Cuir Intense by Guerlain is a Leather fragrance for both women and men, crafted by master perfumer Thierry Wasser. This scent explores the contrasting dimensions of leather, with cedar, sandalwood, and tobacco notes creating its darker accents. An osmanthus accord adds a lighter touch, balancing the composition between warmth and depth. Cuir Intense is part of Guerlain's Absolus Allegoria collection, known for using luxurious materials like French vanilla and ylang-ylang from their own plantations in Comoro Islands.
Apply Cuir Intense with two sprays — the tobacco and leather notes take about an hour to fully bloom. This fragrance reads better close to the skin than across a room, so layering is key for optimal effect.
