The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1929 by Guerlain and crafted by Jacques Guerlain, Liu is a pioneering fragrance that epitomizes the Art Deco era. It opens with aldehydic notes that create a bright, fresh aura, before transitioning into a heart of neroli, jasmine, and rose. The base layers of iris, vanilla, and woody notes provide warmth and depth, grounding the composition in a lasting elegance. Liu's blend of synthetic and natural materials was innovative for its time, setting new standards for floral perfumes.
Apply Liu to pulse points for a subtle yet lasting effect. The aldehydic top notes are bright but fade quickly, so it’s best used during the day when you want a touch of freshness and elegance. The base notes develop slowly over time, providing a gentle warmth that lasts throughout the afternoon.
