Launched in 2013 and crafted by Thierry Wasser, Shalimar Indes & Merveilles is a luxurious Oriental Spicy fragrance for women from the legendary French house of Guerlain. The composition opens with bright citrus notes that give way to a heart of rose, before settling into a rich base of vanilla, tonka bean, and warm spices like opoponax. This scent was created as part of a special edition inspired by the movie “La Légende de Shalimar,” and each bottle is adorned with 24-karat gold and semi-precious stones, making it a true work of art.
Given its richness, a light application is recommended — one spray to the wrists and décolleté. The top citrus notes are fleeting but essential for setting off the spicier heart and base notes that develop over time. Best worn in cooler weather when the warmth of its spices feels most inviting.
