The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1974, Amazone by Hermès is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance created by Maurice Maurin. This composition opens with the fresh green notes of galbanum and mandarin orange, which contrasts beautifully against the rich earthiness of Brazilian rosewood and oakmoss. The heart of neroli, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley brings a floral warmth that is both delicate and profound. As it settles into its woody base, accords of sandalwood, cedar, and vetiver provide a grounding finish that resonates with the essence of the Amazon rainforest.
