The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1985 by the esteemed French perfume house Houbigant, Duc de Vervins is a leather fragrance that encapsulates an aromatic and fresh spicy essence. The composition opens with a vibrant accord of lavender, bergamot, lemon, rosemary, and sage, creating a crisp and invigorating first impression. As it settles, nutmeg and oakmoss introduce warmth and depth, while patchouli and musk provide earthy undertones that ground the fragrance in rich complexity.
One spray is sufficient to capture the essence of this fragrance. The vibrant top notes fade within an hour but leave room for the earthy base notes to take center stage. Best suited for daytime wear when it complements both casual and formal settings.
