L'Eau d'Issey Eau de Parfum Intense, launched by Issey Miyake in 2025 and crafted by perfumer Amandine Clerc-Marie, is a bold interpretation of the iconic L'Eau d'Issey. The fragrance opens with a Posidonia accord—a tribute to underwater meadows that serve as the ocean's lungs—before unfolding into the luminous heart notes of ylang-ylang and finally settling into the warmth of vanilla. Inspired by Alexis Rosenfeld’s Project 1Ocean, this composition celebrates the majesty of the sea, merging floral-green freshness with rich, enveloping base notes.
Apply two sprays to ensure the Posidonia accord and vanilla base notes are well-balanced. This fragrance is best for daytime wear as it captures the essence of a sunlit ocean without overpowering the environment.

Amandine Clerc Marie
Grasse-born, Firmenich-trainedAmandine Clerc-Marie is a French perfumer born in Grasse, where her mother also worked in the perfume industry. She trained at ISIPCA and spent more than ten years working alongside Michel Almairac before joining Firmenich in 2011 as a senior perfumer.
