The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1996 by Kenzo and crafted by perfumer Olivier Cresp, L'Eau par Kenzo is a floral aquatic fragrance that carved out its own niche within the burgeoning wave of aquatic scents. Unlike many marine offerings of the era, this composition blends fresh florals with green and aromatic notes to create a distinctive hybrid. The scent opens with reed and mint, followed by water lily and green lilac, before settling into a base of cedar and white musk. This balance between floral freshness and aquatic elements makes L'Eau par Kenzo stand out as a distinct voice in the crowded field of mid-1990s aquatic fragrances.
Apply L'Eau par Kenzo lightly to avoid overpowering the delicate balance between its fresh top notes and woody base. The floral aquatic heart lasts well into the afternoon, making it perfect for daytime wear. For optimal longevity, apply after moisturizing when your skin is slightly damp.
