Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2011 by Lacoste Fragrances, Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blue is a chypre fragrance for men that was crafted by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. The composition blends aromatic and citrus elements with fresh spices and green notes, creating a dynamic interplay between brightness and depth. The opening of grapefruit and mint gives way to the soft floral nuances of African orange flower and fern, before settling into a base of patchouli and Virginia cedar that adds warmth and earthiness.
This fragrance opens with a bright top note that fades within an hour, so applying it shortly before you leave ensures it transitions smoothly into its woody base. The patchouli and cedar notes take time to bloom, making this scent ideal for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet lasting presence.
