Jean-Claude Astier crafted Gardenia by M. Micallef as a composition that centers around the rich and creamy essence of gardenia. The fragrance opens with a delicate peach note before diving into a heart of jasmine and ylang-ylang, which enhances the gardenia's natural sweetness without overpowering it. The base notes of sandalwood, white musk, and ambergris provide a warm and enveloping backdrop that transforms this floral bouquet into an intimate and sophisticated scent.
One or two sprays are sufficient to capture the essence of this fragrance. The gardenia note is particularly strong close to the skin, so avoid over-application for a more nuanced experience. It’s best worn in cooler settings where its warmth can be fully appreciated.
