Royal Vintage by M. Micallef is a woody-aromatic fragrance that Jean-Claude Astier crafted in 2020 to blend the crisp freshness of pink pepper with the warm earthiness of patchouli and musk. The composition opens with the sharp, zesty burst of pink pepper before giving way to the green, resinous quality of cypress. As it settles into its base notes, Royal Vintage reveals a rich blend of patchouli and musk that evokes the lasting comfort of well-worn wood and soft leather.
Apply Royal Vintage in light layers — its patchouli base can become quite strong if overapplied. Allow it to develop for about an hour before layering again for a more pronounced effect. It pairs well with daytime activities but also holds its own into the evening.
