La Surprise by MDCI Parfums is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance launched in 2020 and created by perfumer Cécile Zarokian. The composition opens with green notes and rhubarb, which add a fresh, unexpected twist to the scent. As it develops, cardamom and bergamot bring an aromatic warmth that contrasts beautifully with the fruity peach and freesia nuances. The heart of white flowers, violet, and rose adds a floral depth, while musk, sandalwood, solar notes, woody notes, and patchouli create a warm, powdery base. This fragrance captures a moment of discovery and intrigue, blending freshness with complexity.
Apply La Surprise in light, even sprays. The green and fruity top notes are bright but fleeting, so aim for two to three sprays to capture their initial impact. As it settles into its warm, powdery base, the scent evolves beautifully over time, making it perfect for a day that transitions from morning meetings to evening gatherings.
