The story behind the bottle.
Close Up, launched by Olfactive Studio in 2016 under the creative direction of Annick Ménardo, is a composition that weaves together sweet and spicy notes into a warm, inviting accord. It opens with cherry and spices, creating an initial burst of brightness before settling into deeper layers of coffee and white tobacco. The heart features rose and patchouli, balancing warmth with subtle earthiness, while the base of atlas cedar, tonka bean, amber, and musk provides a lingering sense of comfort and richness.
Given its long-lasting nature and moderate sillage, Close Up is best applied sparingly at first. The fragrance develops gradually on the skin, so one or two sprays are sufficient for a full day's wear. It pairs particularly well with cooler evenings, where its warmth feels especially comforting.
