Launched in 2022, Babylonia by Ormonde Jayne is a sophisticated Oriental Vanilla fragrance created by perfumer Linda Pilkington. This composition opens with the brightness of black currant and bergamot, leading to a heart filled with floral notes like orris and violet, before settling into a warm base of vanilla absolute, praline, and white musk. Babylonia is neither overtly sweet nor overpowering; instead, it creates an enveloping warmth that feels comforting yet elegant.
Babylonia’s top notes fade quickly, so aim for an even distribution on pulse points to ensure the rich base notes are prominent. It pairs well with a light jacket or sweater, allowing its warmth to subtly envelop you throughout the day.
