The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Orto Parisi, Brutus is an aromatic fougère fragrance crafted by perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. It opens with the brightness of bergamot and mandarin orange, which mingle seamlessly with lavender and geranium to create a fresh yet earthy top layer. The heart notes of rose and patchouli add warmth and depth, while cedar and musk in the base anchor the composition with a woody, spicy undertone that lingers on the skin.
Brutus has a strong presence that builds gradually on the skin. One spray is sufficient for daytime wear, allowing the fresh top notes to shine initially before giving way to the warm base. For evening use, two sprays will ensure the fragrance evolves fully into its rich woody and spicy character.
