The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Parfums de Marly, Byerley is a Woody Spicy fragrance created by perfumer Yann Vasnier. The composition opens with bright cardamom and bergamot, which create an immediate sense of freshness and vibrancy. As the scent evolves, the heart notes of guaiac wood and cedar introduce warmth and depth, while vetiver and resin add an earthy, grounding quality that lingers on the skin.
One or two sprays are enough to capture the essence of Byerley. The cardamom and bergamot opening notes are bright but short-lived, so it's best to layer on more if you want a longer-lasting freshness. The warm woody base will carry through the day, making this scent particularly suitable for daytime wear.
